home is...

...a place where i can wear my heart outside me, and let it melt.

...where we live for a while before going home.

...inside those deep well soul eyes

...when we hold dear the memories of loved ones. I kept this figurine of my grandmother's after she passed.

...where we all come together.

Beautiful pictures Susan.
I would have to say:
Home is where my heart is most at rest.

Home is definitely where my heart is.... I can't imagine not having a place that I adore to call home.

I know that your home is filled with a magical radiance full of warmth and love that cocoons you and your beautiful family.

I have a very ugly ceramic statue of three St Bernard dogs that came from my grandmother when she passed. Whenever I look at it I think of her smile. A sentimental fool am I...

Beautiful pictures Susan! I love your sentiments- so true. I would have to say home is ...where I am surrounded by those I love and can feel safe.

I couldn't describe 'home' better! Sorry I have been out of touch lately. Too many things on my plate and we went on vacation for a week.

Hugs!

I've been popping in to read your blog on & off for a few weeks now, but haven't commented. So I thought it was time. Your writing and photographs are deeply moving. Just fantastic.
I also wanted to say what a great book 'Exhibition 36' is. My dear friend Sandy Lupton and another friend Jeannine Peregrine are in it.
Can't wait to see what your next book is all about.

good morning susan. i have so few treasures that can remind me of "home". i live in one of my homes and it is the one of my own creation. but there is another home that resides in memory that can be prompted into the open by the smallest of things. things that take me to colors, scents and sounds of childhood. a home that holds a sweet place in my heart. a home of long ago and yet it's imprint upon me gets stronger with each passing decade.
as always, thatnk you for the sublime photographs and words.
