...embrace life with the enthusiasm of a child, just as the little boy in this photo is doing. I captured this splendid moment in time on my trip to Paris in 2002.

...receive miracles, like this gentle soul I happened upon in the Tuilleries Gardens.

...enjoy fully and love fully.

...hold my heart open and follow it -- marry my thoughts, words and actions to the beckonings of my heart. i see hearts everywhere these days... a heart-shaped droplet of water in the kitchen sink, a fallen piece of lint wound into a heart, an illuminated heart on my bedroom wall... were they there before and I didn't take notice?, or are they appearing to me now? they are my little daily reminder gifts and bring a smile each time i happen upon one... i follow them like little breadcrumbs on a path, changing the course of my day, leading me to more authentic, fulfilling, happy experiences. And to find this photo with a heart in the clouds taken on my same trip to Paris -- this answers my question -- I guess they have been there all along and I am now seeing more clearly.

...marvel in quiet beauty.
...drown myself in beautiful music, like this.
...watch movies that change me forever. Like my favorite movie, Dear Frankie -- with snippets seen here. You must watch this. My favorite line from the film -- "We are all connected."
...focus on one of my senses each day and notice the gifts they bring.
What are your resolutions?
Happy New Year!

Wow! What powerful pictures--and words. Thank-you. I am inspired.
thank you so much for sharing your images of beauty and life. I always try to be a better person each year, pretty basic but very important!
how fabulous is this post ?
the pictures and the words are all absolutely beautiful and very connected !
I resolve simply to remember how blessed I am with gratitude every day. Nothing more..nothing less.
Wishing you a brilliant and blessed new year Susan ♥
Love the photos. Especially the heart in the clouds.
I resolve to remember no matter how difficult things may be sometime, there is always someone else whose circumstances are more difficult than mine. Reminds me of that quote "I cried because I had no shoes, until I met the man who had no feet".
Happy New Year!
thank you for this inspirational post, and the lovely images that accompany it.
Glad to see another fan one Dear Frankie, I love that movie too :-D
What a beautiful post! You sure sound like you are ready for the new year. I really try not to do resolutions because I know I won't keep them. My main goal though is to try to be more positive. We'll see...
Have a wonderful 2009!

Just to be at peace in my world. Your words are always so full of imagery. I read about you last night in Where Women Create. And thought how wonderful that I feel I almost know you!

Dearest Susan, your words always resonate with me...I just finished reading your book too, (more on that in an email coming your way, I can't possibly describe my feelings here) it was a Christmas gift from my hubby.
I'm not very good with resolutions but embrace affirmations instead - I even put some of them in my new header for extra measure! I hope 2009 delivers all your dreams to you tied up in a sumptuous, gossamer ribbon my dear.
Hugs,
Laura
